I'm interested in the idea of idolizing Sunday worship. In what ways does this become an idol? and in what ways does it pull us into relationship - with God and each other?
Sunday morning worship has and provides centering, communal and personal experiences that help us look up, out and all around to see God at work. In my experience, i also can turn into our only function as “church”, with staff and leadership solely focused on Sunday metrics, I.e. how many showed up v. how is our collective relationship with God showing up out in the world.
