What does it mean to live in a neighborhood?
Beyond HOA rules that maintain property values and zip code prestige, neighborhoods are designed to cultivate connection, shared conversation and collaborative justice.
Yet, too often we choose gates, garage doors and locks that promise to keep us safe from knowing and being unknown by those closest to our proximity, way of life and similar stages all while we drown in lack of grace, loneliness and fatigue of hiding.
God of relationships, what are we to do?
Abba of sustaining love, help us see the vast opportunities before us to witness you moving in the people we are afraid to meet. Amen.
