Simple Sunday Prayer
"Brother Saul..." Acts 9:17
Why can't we be more like the earth, plants and seeds excited to turn into new beings instead of focused dangerously on those with whom we disagree?
In a world of scarcity, competition and fear how might we too be invited to draw near, to those who live, breathe and believe differently?
Are we willing to see our enemies as people in need?
Will we answer God's call to move towards those who are blind, lonely and in need?
How might we reach out and call our enemies brother, equal…friend?
Kinf and compassionate God, I long to hear your invitation to go to those whom I do not yet know, who threaten me and plan to ruin me. Draw me to be willing to help them see what you are up to and where you lead… for they deserve your good news too. Amen.
