Simple Sunday Prayer

"the truth will set you free" John 8:35

We can sit and wait for someone else to do something.

We can believe those in charge who say they will save the day.

We can hide in the background while someone else steps in and figures things out.

Or, we can uncover our crown, remember we adorn bullet proof armor and tie up the enemies in the powerful truth they do not rule.

God of complete reign, forgive me where have I forgotten your truth and simply waited in the wings. Your rule of love, mercy and compassion are still the only way through. Lead me to see what I CAN do, and fill me with courage to follow you. Amen.
