Wash away our suns, collective treason and selfish pursuits.
Drown our depression, tendency to turn inward and the cowardly belief that we can't make change.
Rid the earth of our repeated resistance to generosity, humility and grace.
Or, inspire us to build a boat for safe travels through the messiness of our existence with you, and with more than enough room for others too.
Loving God of connection and communion, no matter how bad the storm, affirm how you have already provided enough timber, nails and food to take on board and encourage us to lift our voices high, inviting all to take shelter with you for this ride. With confidence in your unsinkable grace, we pray. Amen.
