Simple Sunday Prayer

"You give them something to eat." Mark 6:37

While on the hillside, watching Jesus from afar healing those who were sick for hours, the disciples have the audacity to suggest Jesus send the crowds away as it grows late.

We are hungry, tired and uncomfortable by all the good you are doing. Make it stop. Take a break. Hang out with us and teach us privately.

Enough with the dirt, diseased and disassociated…Jesus, serve me!

Jesus assures he won't be sending anyone away. Instead, “You give them something…”. Mark 6:37

Lord, forgive me for all the ways I refuse to join you in what you are already up to. Heal my selfish heart and help me to give what I have already received from you. With only your grace to continue to love me, I pray. Amen.
